The UGA Deer Lab has conducted research focused on home range selection and daily and seasonal movements of deer in many locations across the U.S. Some of this research has provided a basic understanding of deer behavior in previously unstudied habitats. Other research has focused on deer movements across the landscape as affected by social structure, distribution of food and mineral resources, road patterns and distribution of hunters and/or their deer dogs.
